Prof. Chunyang Cao, a professor from State Key Laboratory of Bioorganic Chemistry in Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was invited to TMBJ for project collaboration and discussion. Prof. Cao’s research interest mainly focuses on the structural mechanism study of biological activities and unique epigenetic questions related to cancer by using NMR, X-ray and other biochemical techniques.

Prof. Chunyang Cao and TMBJ research group are seeking to establish the collaboration between State Key Laboratory of Bioorganic Chemistry in Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry and TMBJ at HKBU on the structural study of aptamers and their interaction with target proteins. This collaboration would not only enhance the basic research strength of both groups, but also facilitate the future translation of novel aptamer drugs.
