TMBJ invited Prof. Jiake Xu, the Professor from UWA to have a five-month visit under the University’s Fellowship Programme

Dr. Jiake Xu is currently Winthrop Professor and Head of Laboratory in the School of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the UWA. He is also a founding Fellow, Faculty of Science, the Royal College of Pathologists of Australia, and has been appointed the President of the Australian and New Zealand Orthopaedic Research Society(ANZORS).


Prof. Jiake Xu was invited by Prof. Aiping Lu (Dean of SCM and Director of TMBJ) and Dr. Ge Zhang (Deputy Director of TMBJ) to visit the institute from July, 2014 to December, 2014.During his visiting, Prof. Xu will introduce the excellent research work from his laboratory and take part in the research work in TMBJ. Prof. Jiake Xu, Prof.Aiping Lu and Dr. Ge Zhang are seeking to establish further cooperation between the School of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the UWA and TMBJ at HKBU on the basic research for the pathological mechanism on bone-related disease, such as osteoporosis, osteonecrosis and rheumatoid arthritis.
