Prof. Lei Wei, the associate professor from the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University / Rhode Island Hospital,Department of Orthopaedics, Division of Orthopaedic Research was invited by Prof. Aiping Lu (Dean of SCM and Director of TMBJ) and Dr. Ge Zhang (Deputy Director of TMBJ) to visit the institute on November 13, 2013. Prof. Wei’s research focused on understanding the mechanism of osteoarthritis and todevelop a novel therapy for treating primary osteoarthritis. During the short-time visit, Dr. Zhang made a brief introduction of the institute and shared the team’s up-to-date research. Then, Prof. Wei Lei discussed with Dr.Zhang about the further collaboration on the basic and translational researchfor osteoarthritis.
