Pro. Mats Gustafsson, the professor from the medical faculty at Uppsala University in Sweden, was invited by Dr.Ge Zhang, the Deputy Director of Institute for AdvancingTranslational Medicine in Bone & Joint Diseases (TMBJ) to deliver a lecture on Medical Bioinfomatics.

In the communication, Pro. Mats Gustafsson introduced the latest works of his research group and shared his insights on ‘Cancer Pharmacology and Computational Medicine’. Then Prof. Mats Gustafsson and Dr. Ge Zhang had warm discussions on how to establish diseases/genes/drugsconnections using statistical machine and data mining techniques, which would provide a promising way to discover novel drug or improve existing therapiesfor cancer.
