The first annual meeting of Bioinformatics & Drug Design Platform in Centre for Translational Medical Research in Integrative Chinese and Western Medicine (Institute of Basic Research in  Clinical Medicine, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences & Institute for Advancing Translational Medicine in Bone & Joint Diseases, Hong Kong Baptist University) was held in Shenzhen, China on October 26~28, 2012.

The theme for this annual meeting was advancing the establishment of integrating bioinformatics and data mining in the field of Integrative Chinese and Western Medicine. Forty-two members from Beijing, Hong Kong, Lanzhou and Henan participated in the meeting. Prof. Aiping Lu (Dean of the School of Chinese Medicine and Director of TMBJ), Prof. Zhaoxiang Bian (Associate Vice-President of Hong Kong Baptist University and Professor of TMBJ), Dr. Ge Zhang (Deputy Director of TMBJ), Dr. Zhijun Yang (Associate Professor of TMBJ) and other members delivered lectures during the meeting. The team members also summarized their work in the past year and framed the working plan for the next year.
